1st Gear: I partly attribute this to there not being much real competition to what Tesla has. And it’s not just the vehicles, but the charging network and superior sales model as well.

I’ve owned 6 Teslas, 3 Model Xs in different configurations. Plaid X in latest form. 1 Model S, 1 Model 3, and a Model Y.

I mean, this seems like a pretty big rabbit hole, but sure. Other car companies (and companies in general) have awful CEOs and employees. VW execs knowingly sold vehicles that polluted and caused harm to people (not to mention the whole Nazi thing, and you can include Ford in that too), so did Chrysler, GM knew about

As an owner of a Bolt, I can agree with your statement. With my EV, it’s on you to know where the chargers are and once you get there, hope to god that they’re working, that the payment system works, and that an ICE vehicle is not parked blocking the chargers. It’s not as common as it once was when chargers were close

Not super surprising about Tesla considering it can be easily argued they still sell the best EV for each segment they exist in. It’s not as cut and dry as it once was, obviously, but it’s not like the Model Y is now the worst vehicle in the segment or anything.

As a Tesla owner - the biggest thing that would be keeping me from getting a non-Tesla is the fast charging network.

It was not private. Did you read the article? It was an open letter that got circulated and signed by whoever wanted to sign it. This is not private AT ALL.

It’s not quite the same thing though. Tesla and GM lost money on every one of their early cars because they were forging a new path.

Again...being an employee is different than being a Twitter user. To be clear, I think Twitter has every right to ban people, but being a customer is not the same as being an employee.

I have to agree that it is unfair that the pioneers of EV get penalized. However that rule was laid down a long time ago and has nothing to do with the government hating Tesla. GM also used up all their credits. I don’t think anyone thinks the government hates GM.

Eh....the people twitter kicks off aren’t employees, they’re customers. While I do think twitter has the right to kick people off, it is their platform after all, this is an important distinction.

Then explain it. Concisely. Because the OP did in a way that is non-refutabble and concise.

Sounds like you have no idea what “freedom of speech” means or why that clause was included in our Constitution. The fact that you and so many others are totally unaware of why the Bill of Rights was added to our Constitution

The fact that nearly every idiot who declares “freedom of speech” is completely apparently unaware of this fact, is what makes my brain hurt.

I don’t think you know what freedom of speech means. They had their freedom of speech.

Free speech means the government can’t have you arrested and thrown in a dark hole for expressing yourself. It has no meaning in any situation outside of that.

You can have all the free speech you want... as long as it’s not in the building I own on company time.

As the reply always goes, freedom of speech doesn’t mean freedom from consequences.

I don’t even like Elon Musk, but this article is “journalist brain” at its worst.

Yeah, dealers don’t have ridiculous mark ups...
