My dislike for Tesla knows few bounds, but this one I don’t get at all - why would you WANT to run AA on a Tesla? It has about the best infotainment system you can get in a car already, and certainly better than the crap that is AA. And it IS mostly crap, just better crap than most car’s built in crap.

It was my understanding the federal law requires a physical connect to the steering. I remember infiniti being required to have a steering shaft. This is a Lexus UK video so im guessing its not a US bound feature.  Its also probably why Tesla doesn’t do it.

Yeah, this story is nonsense. The screen is independent from critical driving functions. The hazards, turn signals, etc. all continue working, even with the screen totally off. Some things in this story don’t make sense to me.

I feel the same when i see a person driving alone in their car with a mask on, or at the park all alone with a mask on, or when they put their mask on for a MSM news recording. 

I don’t care if they ask for a 100% deposit because when the vehicles are delivered the consumer gets what they ordered for the agreed upon price.  Not like the dealers that tack on an additional 30k for market adjustment at delivery 

Not a bad point, the Ford GT might fall in this category also.

As egregious as this is, it seems less egregious than the shenanigans involved with obtaining other exotic cars. Anyone in the market for a Corvette Z06 or Ferrari would likely take this approach in a heartbeat.

It’s unfair to pick apart a prototype for its specific issue related to non-serial build quality.  General issues and serial build quality will be enough to pick it apart when its time.
