+1. To add to that, when you do find other chargers, my experience with them is that probably 75% either don’t work or charge slower than expected etc.

It’s really not about the car. Its still the charging network. My experience with 3rd party charging infrastructure since 2016 is that it has barely inched forward when it needs to move miles. Even when many cars have 275+ mile range, you very rarely at 100% charge. It’s often been a week since you charged (since we…
:Sigh: Free speech does NOT mean the right to say whatever you want without consequence. It means the GOV can not punish you for what you say.
Got it. So it’s not that it removes any recourse, just shifts the burden of proof. Thanks.
I’m not sure I agree. Even if you said you didn’t need the car fax because you trust the dealer and bought it anyways, if you got it home and found out the milage was wrong, I think you still have legal options because the car is not as advertised. I guess Elon could wait until after the deal is closed to look more…
5th Gear: Seems to me the number of real users a social media site has would be quite important. That would heavily impact revenue models if you wanted to charge users for subscriptions or be able to convince advertisers to spend based on size of audience. I don’t believe for a sec that bots make up <5% like Twitter…
And Lucid... Really, how do consumers put up with this? I think most people simply don’t know about it. You would think that Tesla, Rivian, Lucid, etc. would get together for a nation wide ad blitz highlighting things like this and then show how dealers are marking up vehicles by $50-100k etc. and people would become…
This has nothing to do with cops and everything to do with lawmakers.
Yeah, Hyundai is really putting the pressure on lol.
Becausethis is jalopnik, I'm sure the reason for the crash is Tesla Autopilot/FSD right??
“I have never used it or seen it for that matter”
This! Tesla doesn’t provide it because they don’t need to. Their system works great and I much prefer it to my other cars with AA. And, for those who don’t agree and want another solution, you can follow posts on the web like this and roll your own solution. Its a win-win.
Using Facebook for news. Thats the problem right there. If you use it for anything other than sharing updates with family & friends, you’re doing it wrong.
1st gear. You’re comparing a $4k electric K car to a model 3. Yeah, that’s an apples to apples comparison for sure.
There are always big and small cars. We went through the same hysteria when SUVs started to get popular.
Well, thanks again. You might be the first person who has changed someone’s mind via a discussion on the internet :)
Thanks for the links.
For your point about the damage a 9k vehicle will do, does anyone have a link to any actual data about this? This strikes me like the people who double and triple masked. If one mask is good, 2 or 3 must be better right? If a car weighs double most others, it must be doing more damage to roads right? Maybe. Is it…
Exactly. No one buys those vehicles because they are so bland. If you only have 25k to spend, most people buy a much nicer low mileage used car instead of the base new car.
There is. If you have a destination in the nav, you don’t get this. If you want to just charge more, you can override the limit. You can even do it from your phone.
