So, can I have it in my next device at the current thickness so it won't break if it's dropped? I don't want my phone any thinner, I want it stronger.

Seems like it could be implemented in a way that it lands first and then just frys the electronics/sensitive parts etc. It doesn't have to be a mini nuke. I've heard it has a fly home feature so that means they've thought about the case where it breaks it's tether but what if it runs out of fuel or is jammed etc?

Serious question here - Can anyone tell me why there isn't some sort of self destruct mechanism built in that triggers when it's lost communication for x amount of time?

I'm as conservative as they come but crap like this just ticks me off. You don't spend 57 million on a 8 segways to shoot at when the country is 15 trillion in debt and the Armed forces have found a way to become pretty damned deadly in the past without this.

Doh! I love how he says the camera sensor size affect depth of field, then goes on to demonstrate that it doesn't, and shows that the difference in depth of field is a result of changing the 100mm lens to a 160mm lens. DOF is determined by focal length, aperture, and distance to subject.

As a senior engineer myself, I would have expected you to have learned long ago that you spend your time fixing bugs that matter. Not crap like this. It appears that Apple agrees with me which is why this "bug" if you can even call it that, still exists. I'd love to hear how you justify the resources to fix

As a software engineer who designs the UI for our product, if a QA guy came to me with this bug, I'd kick him in the nuts.

Um, when a programmable thermostat is available for less that $50, how many years will it take to even break even with this thing let along start to save any money.

I've been considering an iPad or Netbook for my Mom. At first glance, this was an easy win for the iPad until she said she wants to be able to print stuff like coupons etc. Now, things get complicated. It appears printing sucks on all tablets. I've got an iPad2 and I have to run a special print server and I only

Cool idea. I probably won't be getting any, however, as I rarely use filters any more. I do most of that stuff in post. Also, I fight vignetting enough with the filters I have. This would just make the problem worse (on wide angle lens at lest). Still, I like it and hope they make some bucks off them.

Agreed. While I think terrorist are stupid, why does everyone think they are still going after planes? If your determined to cause panic, there are plenty of other things that can be done with little or no security to prevent it. I'd be willing to bet there will NEVER be another hijacked plane again because every

I'm thinking there's an LG Chocolate joke here somewhere.

Am I the only one that watched that vid and thought "that's a lot of fricken cones"?

@mikethrane01

What's the likelihood of even being able to hit an airplane with a small dot? I mean, the plane is thousands of yards away, your on the ground and there is nothing behind the plane so you can't see where the dot is at. The tiniest fraction of movement with the laser would, because of the distance, move the laser all

Not the number, the tape around the rear fender.
