From all that tweets talking about “crying”, “punch to the gut”, and the specific praise to Portman, I’m more and more convinced that they not only borrowed the “cancer” plot from the comics, but also Jane Foster may not end well in this movie...

It’s cute that you think Whedon voluntarily left The Nevers.
“This isn’t the first team-up for Levi and Rodriguez; previously, they co-starred as Joseph and Mary in the animated nativity film The Star.”
I’m not sure that’s where Whedon drew the line in terms of who to treat well and who to treat badly. One of his favorites, after all, was Alyson Hannigan, a) whom Joss pretty obviously would’ve liked to fuck if she’d have him, and b) who reportedly was allowed to tank Joss’s original plans for season 6 of Buffy by…
Great timing, Isaac. I have to lecture next week on the difference between prokaryotes and eukaryotes, and now I have to do some re-writing. Right now.
Not surprised Fillion said it, but I’m disappointed he did. I’m also not at all surprised he had a positive working relationship with Whedon, given that a) Whedon (presumably) had no interest in fucking him, and b) he’s incapable of getting pregnant and thus committing the cardinal sin of forcing writers to readjust…
Sure, anyone’s fault but the bloviating edgelord.
It’s worth pointing out that the Space Shuttle was capable of performing reboosting duties, as was ESA’s now-retired Automated Transfer Vehicle (ATV). The Russian Zvezda module is currently capable (after Progress pumps fuel into Zvezda and undocks from ISS). Before Zvezda, this was done by the Zarya module.
I did mention that Progress vehicles are currently being used as ISS boosters, but perhaps I should’ve been more explicit about how they’re exclusively being used for this task. That said, I was very clear in my article that the reason for the Cygnus test is that, with the Russians potentially leaving, NASA needs a…
Weird that Maritime Law actually requires and obligates you to render assistance to anyone you encounter in distress- and finds you punishable if you do not do so on the seas.
The focus should be on the number of and easy access to guns in this nation, not the police response to massacres.
How can any person living in Uvalde expect to feel safe after watching this. How can any member of the Uvalde police department put on that badge and not feel shame.
How it isn’t any adult’s first instinct who isn’t in the current line of fire to try and sneak up on the shooter and tackle them to the ground (or die trying) is beyond me.
I think we can all take comfort that these nineteen children were ultimately protected from learning about gay people.
“The only thing that stops a bad guy with a gun is a good guy with a gun”… unless they’re cowards, apparently??? Gross negligence. Lock them up.
Starship Troopers, the book, is not meant as satire. Heinlein believed that shit. The movie Starship Troopers is 100% satire, basically shitting on the book, rightfully, for being about a fascist utopia.
I’m so confused that people are confused about this.
This is a very special case, since these kids already have a major immune system defect. The type of transplant they got, a haploidentical transplant from a parent, with only a partial immune match, is typically high risk and there’s a high rate of rejecting the transplant. In this case, because their immune system is…
Makes me wonder who performed the first actual Space Tug. My guess is Gagarin.
After 6 a.m. but before 10 a.m.
