People get out of your way...

From what I’m reading, he’s upset that the van is now 12 years old, under 50k miles and appears to be falling apart.

12 years is a long time to hold a grudge...

we sold a 12' Sonata after we got our Palisade. 117k trouble free miles with nothing but basic maintenance, had a prior neighbor with 240k on their 13' same deal...

Most reviews compare the interiors favorably to luxury SUVs. If you can get a well-cooked steak for the same price as a hamburger, wouldn’t you?

It may be in the same boat in terms of demand - but is it really that much better a vehicle? That Odyssey was a huge step up from the rest of the segment - it took the reliability of a Japanese minivan, the space efficiency of a Grand Caravan (which at the time was the gold standard in terms of space, but shat the bed

Most people who go “WTF why are people waiting to get a Telluride?” are most likely those who have never seen one in person, and/or sat in one, much less drove it.

Reminds me of the 2nd gen Honda Odyssey. They were all pre-sold before they hit the dealer lot. We bought a 2001 Odyssey sight unseen, paid full MSRP, and waited 3 or 4 weeks for it to come in, because we had to if we wanted one. Seems crazy for a minivan but they were that much better than the competition at the

I looked at Telluride and its Hyundai cousin in Sept and the dealers weren’t budging off sticker and many were going above sticker back then.  I bought the outgoing ‘19 Highlander LE Plus and ended up about $8-9K less than base model Telluride.  I think the Telluride looks really good and the interior is very good.  I

Subjectively, the Telluride is a much more handsome vehicle. The Palisade has more try-hard styling (swoops, creases, and chrome).

Weirdly, it has more room behind the third row.

Minus the size, too. This competes with the Explorer, not the Expedition. The Traverse, not the Tahoe.

That’s also a size-class smaller.

Alternately, you’re spending $40-50k. Shouldn’t you actually get what you want?

Yikes - so tell my wife not to wreck it?

Got ours just under sticker earlier this year.

Also based on reviews, the new Explorer is not good. If I were in the market I would be picking up a Telluride without a doubt.

I saw three of these at my local starbucks this morning.

Makes sense. I only sat in one for a few minutes while waiting for my Stinger’s service to get done. I couldn’t believe how nice the interior was at that price point. If I had kids, I’d seriously look at one. My question is will they package the new Sedona as well as they did the Telluride. That could be an
