I don’t really have anything against a Ridgeline, but I don’t understand why it’s a better choice than a Tacoma/Colorado/Ranger.  And I’m completely ignoring the bigger options (which I can see why people wouldn’t want a bigger truck) that tend to be better deals when it comes to initial purchase price.

Came here to suggest the same thing. Comfortable like a Pilot. Can do more things than a Pilot. It’s a Honda. It’s kind of rare. It’s different. And it might be had new for $40K!

I’m going with a boring answer- Honda Ridgeline.

This is a very specific critique.

No, I think it looks fine. Definitely better than the Escape for its segment.

That seems like a whole lot of hood to be held up by a single prop, rather than a strut or two.

This is the smaller “BabyBronco” that is Escape based and a more butch alternative to the Escape. The leaks last week were of the larger real Bronco on the next Ranger platform that will compete with the Wrangler.

This is the smaller CUV that is below the Bronco. Think of this as the Jeep Renegade compared to the Wrangler

Heh.  That’s EXACTLY my reaction.  have a star

Am I the only one that likes the little guy? A bit of retro, but still seems new. Yes it has shades of land rover, but is that so bad? If it’s decently powered and nice to drive I’d consider one for my wife’s next vehicle.

So a Land Rover Discovery??? I thought Ford and Land Rover parted ways?

But a Super Beetle is clearly and obviously different.

This is the kind of pedantry that Jalopnik excels at.

You’re taunting those of us with OCD with your multiple typos as a deliberate act of irony, right?

I still get mad seeing steering wheels not pointed strait while they are ‘fake driving’

Brad Pitt also drives around in a car where the speedometer never moves (because it was filmed with the car on a trailer). Oversights happen.

Yeah, was gonna say that Basterds would have skewed production output for German car makers. So they sped up in this world.

Brad Pitt wears a Citizen Ref. 67-9020 Bullhead Chronograph, Automatic Cal. 8110A released in AFAIK 1972.

Since we’re talking about anachronisms in productions based on real-life events, The Crown has an episode set around 1965-66 in which the queen is visiting a Kentucky horse farm. She rolls up in a stretch Town Car that’s clearly from about 10 years later. Bad!!!

Nothing to see here Torchy. Move along, ignore the black helicopters, and the tap I the phone...
