The War on Drugs!! "Strangest Thing" and "Thinking of a Place" are such soaring, beautiful songs and they have been perfect musical accompaniments for summer evening drives.

Casey Wilson is playing the casting director too so it's basically the Happy Endings reunion we always wanted

Leave your stupid comments in your pocket!

Didn't he allegedly STAY in character for this too, while filming? How do you go light on a Tommy Wiseau impression? It's actually one of the easier impressions to do!

I rewound her uncomfortable "thank you.." about 10 times and it may have been my favourite moment of this entire awesome season. She is a gem!

Every once in a while I revisit Pure Heroine and start to champion another underrated song on it. Lately I've had Ribs on heavy rotation and man, that song packs a punch.

Whoa good to know. I was actually just listening to Clementine this week and wondering about her (one of my fave songs, actually). She must have done a bit of a genre switch-up, because Clementine was very "Greys Anatomy closing montage"-esque.

The 30 seconds of Robyn's song "Honey" that she gave to Lena Dunham for Girls this season remains my favourite pop song of the year so far

I've been new to Bob's Burgers and catching up with the show on its nightly Teletoon reruns here in Canada. Saw the Thanksgiving episode the other night where Bob has to rescue Gayle in the snowstorm and laughed so hard ("his name is Jim! Jim Business!"). To my surprise I went back to the AV Club episode review and

Definitely like that Pure Heroine showed a bit more restraint and experimented a bit more, but damn if The Louvre isn't a pretty perfect and lovely little track. I could see this one growing on me for sure.

Finished Master of None before bed last night and then couldn't sleep. Even though I agree with the reviews that kind of bagged on the overdone main romance, something about the finale just kept me up. Not sure if it's how those last few episodes were shot, or maybe if it just resonated a bit. Can't wait for the

Kidman's character having twins initially made me just assume there were some fertility treatments involved, considering they've discussed the age difference between her and Skarsgaard so we know she's a bit older.

That line on Master of None where she tried to pass Arnold off as a developmentally delayed man traumatically triggered by the Home Improvement grunt was gold.

Saw 20th Century Women earlier today. Knew I would love it, but didn't expect it to be nearly as funny and also as emotional as it was. At one point I found myself tearing up and it wasn't even an especially sad scene, just very human. Tell me I'm not the only person that cried at this?? I don't remember caring much

I've been waiting patiently for an album version of I Dare You ever since that great performance on SNL back in the fall. So glad it's finally here, and that the rest of the album delivers as well. I associate The xx with being a more cozy wintery listening band, and then here comes this album in January with a bunch

Saw JACKIE yesterday. It did seem like one of those cases where the performance overshadows the film, but when it sucks you in it really grabs you. The score was so unsettling and really added to the surreal/dreamlike vibe. Portman was excellent and definitely at her best when she's delivering the snide, sarcastic

This whole thing seems like something a gay scientist concocted in a lab. Which is to say I am very onboard.

Whoops — sorry, had my timeline confused. I meant the other standoff in the street where the older brother got run over. The final standoff can be happily substituted with the Chief Wiggum PI opening where he's shooting everything in sight and hitting absolutely nothing.

I am admittedly curious about seeing that final standoff portrayed on screen because it sounded pretty intense and Berg can stage solid action scenes, but not so curious I want to actually give this project any money.

I did the same. I wouldn't go so far as to say I was disappointed (I really did like the film), but I liked the personal small scale from the story. I get that the political/international tensions were added to presumably build more of a climax, but I definitely think the story nailed the feelings a bit more, which
