No she's not.

We do agree …
…that you suck!

Jesus Christ, O'Neal
Man, you're totally harshin' my mellow over here, man.

Kerouac9, do you think I should have referenced the Klosterman essay in my second paragraph and quoted from it directly a couple of times?

Nah, DMB will never be good.

One thing I forgot to mention in this blog post was my favorite all-time fake tough Billy Joel lyric: "I was stranded in the combat zone, I walked through Bedford Stuy alone, even rode my motorcycle in the rain." Holy shit, in the rain?! He's a bad man, that Billy Joel.

Wow … just wow
Nice try, AV Club. Billy Joel sucks! For shame, AV Club. For shame!

Thanks a lot
I throw myself on a landmine by agreeing to review this, and not only do you go out and watch it anyway but also you try to have me killed. Thanks for nothing, Rabin.

My list
I'm sure I'll want to change this as soon as I post this, just like the music list. The hardest years for me were 1981, 84, 96 and 2004

I'l never forget the day I bought that Talking Heads album when I was a 1-year-old.

Man, you AV Club commenters are grumpy today!

Um, that's "Live At Leeds." "Live With Leeds" isn't very good at all.

If I'd been born that year, I would have gone with "Live With Leeds." Then I could pick a 1971 record, which would be pretty much impossible.

Fixed!

Reviews
Lil Wayne and NERD reviews are coming next week!

I'm with Noel on this one. I really like THE ANIMAL YEARS, but I wouldn't call it a masterpiece. Really good, but not quite great. If you're looking for real neo-folkie brilliance, let me suggest Todd Snider's THE DEVIL YOU KNOW, which, for me, contains "the" wartime elegy of the W. era, "You Got Away With It."

Noel, I'm going to send John Prine's first album to you, if you don't already have it. I think you'd like it. It's pretty much wall-to-wall classics.

I forgot about She's The Sheriff! That deserves a mention in the syndication hall of shame for sure.

Sorry!
I had some posting problems, so the original post and comments are gone. If you don't mind posting again, please do so!
