Digital Distribution has its pros and cons.
Whenever I join a server I have to trek past 2 hours of border-line autistic recreations of everything ever by perfectionists with infinite time and purpose. Then I go to the edge of the map and make my square-trapezoid obsidian tower of death and convert forests into spikey no-mans land.
The PC market makes up for lack of resale in other ways. Free Multiplayer. Steam sales. Mods, Piracy, etc. Even then, I believe a CD-key can be used on a different system down the line.
Its really more about time per game. I bought Skyrim day one because I new I'd be enjoying myself the entire 200 hours I've put into it. When the Creation kit comes out I'll be putting another hundred or two back in it, maybe more.
I hope Microsoft likes losing money. I will buy such a system at Launch and then pirate everything that comes out for it.
Lucky for File2ish Soul Calibur is known for its exhaustive single player component. At least it was, I'm not sure if that's still the case. I'll be picking it up for hopefully around $30-$20 around November after I'm done with FFXIII-2 and ME3.
Meh. I was thoroughly unimpressed with everything cross-promoted between Dragon Age: Origins and Mass Effect 2.
I think you're confusing "losing money" with "Not making money". Just because I don't buy your product doesn't mean I'm stealing money out of your pocket.
The creation toolkit is about 19 days too late for my tastes.. Damn thing should have been out at launch, and now the January 2012 release is looking less and less likely.
I sorta waited. I have the original game on steam for $5...
Chocolina is my favorite.
This desperately needs a $30 Collector's Edition.
Obviously its a personal judgement call based on factors I feel important.
Game's not worth $60 unfortunately. I'll pick it up when it goes on sale for $10 in a few months.
I want this. I know it'll cost in the mid thousands though.. sigh.
I wonder how this will work with my Geforce 280 GTX and Ipad 2.
Silent Hill 2 and 3 but not 4, Origins, or Shattered Memories?
Either way I don't care. If this thing doesn't sell then the ones that did will be worth more, and will be a collector's item. If it does then we get more Japanese RPGs which are worth a lot regardless.
Just can't justify paying a subscription fee for a Wii game. I got out of Warcraft, I avoided The Old Republic, and I'm not touching Guild Wars (even though they don't technically have a fee)
"BIG PLANS" = How can we possibly milk this franchise even more.
