It's their website, they can do whatever they want. A website isn't a government, and there's no such thing as "freedom of the press" or "freedom of speech" on forums or message boards. You're participating on their turf on their cash. They can "censor" all they want. It's their ball and they can take it and go home

@whitetd: Computer? Hello computer?

@nateharr: Some people just don't get it. Banhammer

@nateharr: Disemvoweled for admitting you didn't read the article (just the title) and bitching about it even though your bitching had nothing to do with what the article was about. Thanks for making my job easier.

Sorry, this article was begging for this question to be asked :p However, this is a great article with many valid points!

Thanks Kevin, this was something that I thought was just part of Snow Leopard. Didn't know it could be turned off. I'm busting out my MBP right now!

WheresBruceWayne.com sounds like it will be on of those marketing/PR interactive game sites to build up hype for the upcoming game, getting users to do decipher clues and do IRL scavenger hunts and stuff.

Hmmmm, I wonder why they chose to do a Red to Yellow color shift. Subconsciously, people associate red to "bad" or "old." I would have assumed they did a Green to Red system for the age of the parking spots.

@Jeff1741: Disemvoweled for whining about content. First off, take a peek at [gizmodo.com] and read the Whining About Content paragraph. Second, if you go to [gizmodo.com] you can learn how to disable all iphone4 posts.

@LAGamer: I've suggested before that Kotaku adopt a similar approach that Gizmodo uses. Since there is no "report comment" feature, what they do is they have a hashtag page called "trollpatrol" where commenters submit potential misconduct for review. Us mod's can't catch EVERYTHING, and help is always appreciated. I'm

@InsaneElite: Disemvoweled. Your comment was pretty much the equivalent of "slow news day." Take a peek here for some commenting tips: [kotaku.com]

@jayc4life: Very true. But isn't that how it goes most of the time? Trends start out in Europe and make their way to the U.S.?

Oh wait, I thought we were talking about a team that went on a spending spree for all these top tier players and ended up failing to win a major championship in almost 10 years because those players couldn't play with each other because of their huge egos.

@Taggart6: I stopped using the mobile version a long time ago. Instead, I view the full site via Opera Mini. It honestly loads just as fast as the mobile site, regardless of it being heavier. Plus you can log in and comment and stuff. I haven't had any problems with the site layout or functionality with it either.

@william7: An off-topic troll comment followed by a cheap on-topic comment? A positive and a negative cancel each other out via a disemvowel! Great Scot indeed.

@Frypot: Gizmodo has a trollpatrol over at [gizmodo.com] so anytime a user catches an infraction a mod may have missed they report it there. I check it to find things I may have missed. Perhaps Kotaku should have such a hastag page?

@Brian Crecente: They have access to their accounts and I believe they can use the Message system, but banning disables their ability to comment entirely.

@Erwin: Although that works, i'm not sure if it sticks globally. It's a cookie thing, and if you log on at a different computer, say at school, those settings won't be in effect. So I can see where OP is coming from, but that's a site-wide sort of thing and not Kotaku specific. I will however shoot an email to the

@Kieran Devlin: Disemvoweled case 1) troll, and 2) you're judging a book by it's cover (literally)
