Maybe, but I still prefer to think of Nadine being all like "Yeah, I saw you on TV, but I thought it might be a different bearded mad-haired man with two-tone glasses."
Maybe they eat food that's "so bad it's good"?
There's also the fact that it's almost always just one thing that's off. If it were unintentional, or just a sloppy take that they kept, I'd expect there to be more things.
Relax… it's non-diegetic…
It was like that in the original series and it never made a lick of sense then either.
I kind of love that he introduces James Hurley with exactly as much aplomb as "The" Nine Inch Nails.
I've often thought that the conventional depiction of alien abduction is just a distorted memory of a childhood trip to the dentist. I mean… so much of it marries up. Obviously things like drilling holes in your teeth and the dentist's chair are there, but you also get things like the pervasive bright light and the…
Would it go some way to explaining why Charlie looks like a pig-in-a-blanket?
I thought that was weird, tbh. Not just because both of them are ridiculously distinctive-looking people living in a relatively small town. Wasn't she Jacoby's patient at one point?
This remains one of the few aspects of The Return that I don't like, tbh. The Bang Bang scenes feel like they've been cut-and-pasted in from another show, and if I'm supposed to be keeping track of all the names mentioned in passing… I'm not.
I noticed the number - 7663? - but no idea what it mean.
Maybe he's trying to figure out what's going on with his hair?
If it was the case with the original, my guess would be varispeeding - as in, after they recorded it maybe someone wanted it to be a bit faster/shorter or slower/longer, so they sped it up or slowed it down a bit and the pitch changed with it.
Without having read the book, I'm wondering if aliens is just what people in the 21st century would call these weird demonic creatures that could be anything.
Yeah, it didn't seem like Ray's idea. They pretty much had to stop him from shooting Dark Coop during the match.
I thought it was meant to be the sound of the TV looping. I don't know if we ever saw the TV at the same time as the sound.
Took me, like, five repeats to see what they were getting at, and I still have no idea whether it's intentional or not. I mean… Lynch isn't above just leaving shit like that in to mess with people even if it's not intentional, is he.
Man, James Hurley's singing voice never gets any less silly, does it.
Coming soon: Pie Man and Soufflé Girl?
