The (at the time it came out) unique taillights were a nice touch. Nice enough that Dodge started spreading it across the line-up.

It’s a lot like the wildlife conservationists. They bait you in with a Hellcat, drug you, and then release you back into the wild inside of a 2016 Dart.

Normally I would tend to agree, but for one of the most beautiful ‘Vette body styles in the best color in that shape for that price negates the slushbox. Hell, I’m even willing to overlook the (gasp) chrome wheels.

An affordable entry into the world of weekend toys. That’s also an attractive color. New tires are a huge plus. NP.

Closing the doors with the door pulls in my 4th gen Firebird are like grabbing the upper arm of your long dead aunt.  There’s always a weird rattle and crunch when you close the door as well from all the broken plastics and the window tracks that long gave up the ghost.

You had me until the second sentence. The headlights are just fine for the era, I’d argue modern cars a bit too busy, and it has the correct number of inlets. But you are correct to still want one. I Prefer red myself.

My old 1977 Mercury Monarch had door handles where the release latch was a lever sort of parallel to the diagonal grab handle. More staple-gun like than trigger, but still a cool implementation.

You know what else is under-rated? Proper detent angles for doors. Take the Mustang GT. Your options are to suck in your gooch and shimmy sideways into the drivers seat or swing the door so wide you have to have one foot out of the car to reach the handle to close it. Even the new Camry is afflicted with this.

Who here remembers the 70s GM door pulls that looked like a casket handle and were constantly breaking loose from the door. Not fit for purpose at all.

I’ve always felt it’s a missed opportunity that the door handle hasn’t been a trigger on the diagonally run door grabs... they're practically a pistol grip already.
