What you have here in a guy trying to get every dime he invested in the car back out of it, which is never going to happen with a restomod. He’ll be lucky if he gets half of that.

If you strip off all of the emissions gear, you have a kickass drivetrain in a light and agile car. You just have to find one that hasn’t rusted into oblivion, rust proof the crap out of it, and rock and roll.

I’m going to be honest - I don’t like that, but I’m really glad some still exist because they’re certainly unique. Good job keeping an obscure piece of history alive.

Who tunes them? I’m nearly out of the powertrain warranty, so that’s tempting.

Its amazing, because I read this all the time and my 2012’s Powershift is surprisingly not crap. Its dimwitted and slow to downshift in automatic mode, but Sport mode isn’t bad. Mine also hasn’t fragged the clutches despite 536xx miles of driving. It does make a clattering sound at slow sleeps, but that’s typical for

I’ll take either one of these - an A-4 Skyhawk or an F-8 Crusader. The A-4 is awesome because it’s a tiny little hot rod of a bomb truck, while the F-8 was the last gun fighter, long and sleek and minimalist.

The Zakrello is a fur suit and a few extra ‘claw’ blades away from being a decent bear Gundam/mobile armor.

I’m sure the Japanese will love that idea.

Looks like I need to become a Dutch citizen so this guy can be my champion:

You, sir, have great taste.

That car has been at Woodward for a while now - I first saw it on Autoblog back in 2010, but I’ve seen it in other magazines about the dream cruise since then.

Because taste was hard to come by in the ‘80s.

Mmm, Falcon Futura. Also, the ‘66-’67 Nova on the right. Even the economy cars looked cool in the ‘60s.

This reminds of G Gundamn, but with less hilarious national stereotypes on display in the vehicle design.

They gave you moonshine to along with your farm truck, but skipped the shotgun? CP.

It’s new car storage - most of those are Volkswagens or Renaults. Or rather, was new car storage.

That seems reasonable. I imagine it’s like a RATO unit, but conformal.

But the rest of the carrier group protects the carrier through long range standoff capabilities - long range radar and sonar, anti-air and anti-ship missiles, all of which can identify and kill a target from a hundred miles out. And don’t forget the carrier air group and SSN escort engaging targets even farther. Being
