Regardless of your opinion on the styling, they’re strikingly hard to work on and strikingly badly made. That’s something. For the record, I like the angular lines of the earlier 3rd generation and rounder 90’s curves of the ‘98-’02 4th gens. The ‘93-’97 was an awkward step between the two, like a gawky teenager.

Broken rails are usually caused by fatigue cracks that lead to catastrophic failure in rapid swings…
