Okay, just want to point out it's not just about being a model for this season, it's about being an ENTERTAINER. That explains why Lisa won over Allison. Allison photographs well but doesn't have a personality that transfers well on film. Lisa photographs well and has a huge (sometimes too big, although this cycle she

The magazine shoots never are, you see the final shoot when the magazine comes out. Same for the Seventeen shoots in the past.

Ack! I'd hate if I were just two mins away from having seen Tyra Banks. If we were all to be in a room with her she couldn't handle all the model walks and smizes.

That's exactly what I was thinking, and said less eloquently in reply to someone down-thread. Lea Michele constantly talks about how she won't get a nose job to make her nose "less ethnic", why would she change her name for that reason? I can understand if she changed it to make it easier for her to get work as well

It's easy to be pretentious when you've got lots of money and go to a school where you're surrounded by fellow pretentious youth.

I think that tabloids make these childish attacks, and it may have been good foresight. Imagine the headline for her anytime she was photographed after having eaten lunch or on a bloated day. I don't think the "fart" insult would happen a lot but the "fat" one would. She's a young woman in Hollywood, it'd happen

Why attack their deceased father when there's plenty of stuff to knock about the current Kardashians, the ones who are alive and are doing the famewhoring?

Ha, yes I laughed when I read that part. Like..really Ali? Is that a question you need to ask? In the quote she quickly answers it, though, so it's obviously rhetorical. But, still, don't ask a rhetorical question when the overwhelming answer for the public would NOT be what you're looking for.

I used to be so good at smizing, but lately it just looks like I need a pair of glasses. Apparently it's not like riding a bike at all.

So Scout is in the writing class my boyfriend's roomie teaches at Brown and apparently she, while at some reading one night, drunkenly ranted to him about all of the books she hates, all of which were the books he assigned for that class. She seemed to want him to support her and agree with her and he's just like "I as

I think she understands this. If you think this is a completely sincere rant that I believe you are mistaken. She's frustrated and she's writing this as a catharsis and also because she knows there are people who can relate. This post is most likely moreso for those who can relate than those who can't. I hardly doubt

This is the internet. Please do not assume condescension where there wasn't. You can read tone differently online than what's intended and I think that may have been what happened.

I think part of is that for so long a lot of the articles had a slight tone of anti-mommyhood and that was offensive to a lot of the people who were parents and who, for the most part, enjoyed coming here. Also, a lot of the people involved with Jezebel are no longer in their mid to late 20s, they are moving up into

I didn't get that vibe at all from this. Maybe the tone seems harsh because it's frustrating seeing all these really harsh anti-baby comments when you're simply looking for general advice. The tone seems angry because the author is angry.

I think it's the latter, but the phrasing of the title was purposeful in order to intrigue more people. I could be wrong, however, but at least with this hope it makes me less angry.

I expect that people will tip on the pre-tax. I tip on the after tax total, and have always done so even before I was a server, but I'm aware that not everyone thinks about it like that.

Ha, that's awesome! One time these customers didn't leave enough to even cover their bill. They are regulars and had a reservation so I figured it was an accident. I called them up (thank goodness they had a reservation, that's why I had their number!) and one of them came back and was super apologetic and also tipped

I don't really know on that. My restaurant also does take-out, and for the most part I don't expect a tip from the customers, so when they do tip I'm pleasantly surprised and pleased (occasionally we'll have people who tip 20 percent on their takeout and that is ALWAYS great).

This is a bit old, no? Didn't she leave school and all that jazz?

That's what I was thinking, too. I can't listen to it because I'm in a library sans headphones, but it doesn't seem like this was his idea. Maybe it was though, so I shan't judge too harshly, but if he was being goaded to do it just for a viral video then it kind of rubs me the wrong way.
