That just reminds me of an episode of Drop Dead Diva when Grayson "lawyers up" Deb's (who is a model) contract with a photographer. Her and her fellow model friend Stacy threw out that copy because they knew they could never be hired if they put their foot down like that.

Understandable, but I can't know that's the case for everyone and I cannot help being momentarily offended if I get a low tip. It's also how I make my living, you know? I don't yell at bad tippers or harbor any hostility for them, but it does get frustrating if it keeps happening, especially when I'm busting my hump

That's what I try to tell myself for the most part. It doesn't anger me, most our customers tip well and there's always at least one or two tables that even out a bad tip and make it alright. Other people do know the tipping standards and just choose to ignore it, I have a couple of friends like that, which saddens me.

20% is generally the standard now, speaking as a sever. 15% is offensive to me and my co-workers, it makes us wonder if we did something wrong. 18% I understand moreso because I figure a lot of people still haven't realized the raise in tipping standards. A couple months ago there was a pretty epic Jez thread on the

I love Ryan Gosling's asymmetrical/lazy eye. I don't give much credence to the idea that symmetry=beauty. Little unique features make someone stand out. That face composite they made of the "Most Beautiful Women" just ended up being fairly blah. Pretty, but blah. Yay for fabulous facial "flaws".

She played Darla in Buffy and Angel and played the lead in No Ordinary Family

So amethyst is out of the question?

Ha, I just wrote about it upthread!

Jamaican fruit cake is pretty good. It's also known as Black cake. Oh, and Rum Cake. Yep. I like it, preferably when people make it with less rum because I don't care for rum. But, a lot of people LOVE it...probably because of the rum.

I don't watch the show, but I wonder if part of it is the specific business she wants to get into?

I've never heard it the way you use it. I've always heard it as being the children of immigrants, so I am a first generation American seeing as how my parents immigrated here from Jamaica. I think, at least with this usage, is that it's just a short way of saying first generation born in America.

Yeah, in the trailer that was in the first Jez post on this topic he said he wasn't a virgin by choice.

Ha, I absolutely loved that part, too. She was a great Mrs. Claus

She reminds me of Caroline in the Thanksgiving/Christmas episode of 2 Broke Girls. Ruining Christmas for all the little girls and boys. Tsk tsk

But they look so cuddly. I want to pick them up and snuggle with all of them. Even the mom. I love how their markings remind me of chipmunks.

I wonder if some of the sincerity comes from them having been together before they all became famous (I could be wrong about that, I don't watch their show but I'm pretty sure they were together before the Kardashian frenzy)

Truth. Even being 5'8.5 plus heels you end up being taller than a lot of guys (or maybe it's just the heels I like?)

I've been 5'8 since late middle school. During a visit to the doctor's either my junior or senior year of high school I found out that I grew half an inch, I was very excited. I now tell people I'm 5'8 and a half with pride (for some reason I just feel wrong about rounding up. And rounding down just isn't an option,

Yes! I miss MadTV sometimes (read: often)

The shows aren't exclusively wife swap. Trading Spouses trades husbands as well as wives. Wife Swap also occasionally swaps husbands. Don't let the name confuse you!
