As opposed to the checklist most people bring:

One line that often sticks in my head is "90% of life is just showing up", especially when I feel hesitant to get out of my comfort zone. But it has proven over and over to be the way serendipity, and luck, happen.

Do it. I triple dog dare you. Go mudding in your TheFerrari.

Or having to upgrade hardware every 3 months just to play a new game... (AMD has a 1 GHz processor now?? Holy crap!!)

Brace yourselves for the inevitable future.

I hope these stories don't put off anyone thinking of getting into PC games. It's really extremely stable these days! Just don't buy a Triple-A game at launch anymore, they rush those things through too quickly....

What a townsman I would be then!

Pickups are getting too nice. Did you feel like if you owned one of these, you'd try and avoid doing utilitarian things with it that would get it beat up? I mean, I rode in a buddy's new-ish 4 door Ram 1500, and it was basically like a Cadillac on stilts.

I saw one in person! I was traversing Colorado, on my way to Malibu for a Tame Impala concert (Mars Volta was opening). It sparked my interest, because sonically it was very quiet, and the body was entirely S.S. It was cruzing pretty slow, and left no trax. A good day to be in that suburban area!

Rather than (effectively) cancelling the show, BBC could have turned it into material and had an entire season of Clarkson getting pranked, abused, staying in lousy hotels, served cold cuts, and generally getting shat on by the hosts and producers, all at his own request. Every week they could announce a new fan's

Nice Meridians.

Amazon prime doesn't even like it anymore; the free seasons are gone.

Back around 2002 I was a post-undergraduate with too much unemployed time on my hands, which Diablo 2 multiplayer was happy to inhale into its endgame void. It was a spastic, weird environment with a single general chat channel that was mostly spammers and scammers trying to pretend they were from Blizzard to get

Check out Tom's System Builder Marathons and the Newegg DIY combos. Building your own is a great way to avoid the needless markup on major PC retailer's "gaming" products. Trust me, it's worth the cost of entry. PC games taper off in price way faster than console games, and you have many options when it's upgrade

I didn't hate TG USA all that much like some do, but I couldn't get into it because they seemed to avoid the world travel part of the show's formula, or at least they stay too restricted to 'Murica, and American cars. Bourdain's show's are good, but very different; no "buddy-road-trip" atmosphere, or trademark British

Top Gear UK didn't just get me going on cars, it's hands down the best travel show around, which is a whole new dimension you don't hear many "petrol-heads" talk about. The best episodes were the adventures out into the world's wild and unpredictable roads, which had a fantastic way of making you feel like you went

Well, not original, but still...

Well, not even Clarkson defended what he did, so I don't think anyone ever was.

I'd actually prefer Allen over Leno, now that you mention it.
