Good value speaker cables can also come from ordinary extension cords, just clip off the ends and strip it down. Downside: usually that ugly orange. But it's a good way to get a lot of copper for not that much dough. Personally I'm a fan of the bare copper to speaker terminals, for minimal transfer.
