The last Assassin’s Creed barelly had any stealth, more like an action game. Hitman is so different I wouldn’t consider it a proper stealth game. It’s more about hidding in plain sight. Elden Ring and Sekiro, and most the games you mentioned have it as an smaller option. As in, it’s a open world aproach and stealth is

I mean, it’s early access. I expect the AI will be better at release.

I can’t speak for all of those games, but of the ones I’ve played that you mentioned, they mostly just have stealth elements (with the exception of Thief and Dishonored.)

I don’t care about this game, but this is the shit we’re talking about when we complain about always-online requirements that stans always handwave away with trite lines like “you’re always connected to the internet anyway.

only difference between Square and EA is Weebs love square.

I’m just going to put this out there, Square are not a good publisher. They really cannibalise their studios and have unrealistic performance expectations. They really don’t support their teams and with the exception of a handful of games they don’t seem to care about properties.

Everyone in Jin’s world is beautiful, but no one is horny.

I’d previously thought of ancient Greece as a stuffy and intellectual world because my main exposure to the country was through learning about it in public school. But Odyssey showed me that ancient Greeks could be fuckups.

Agreed. The way the initial stuff “wrapped up” in III felt disappointing and confusing. Loved the initial idea though once it got cleaned up a bit.

People choose the weirdest things to be offended by. You know you have issues when your biggest gripe about a game is that the characters are not horny enough, which in turn somehow makes it racist (?) towards the protagonist’s culture.

The “modern day stuff” has been an afterthought since AC3. It’s been a bit better since Origins, but still felt kind of tacked on and I just wasn’t invested in that anymore. While I once really enjoyed it (It was really good in Brotherhood), I have to say I’m glad they’re just ditching it now.

Ubisoft clearly had no idea on how to continue the present day stuff after AC3, and it’s only made my experience with the franchise worse since then.

If it had gone anywhere, like say a game set in modern day, then I wouldn’t have minded it as much. But after Desmond’s story ended abruptly and the weird shit between that and Layla, who sucks, ehhh, I’m okay with it.

“Everyone in Jin’s world is beautiful, but no one is horny.”

I realize this is a rude thing to say, but I don’t have a clear sense of how much Sisi Jiang knows about Japanese culture. I mean, I can’t necessarily speak of French or Dutch culture.

Honestly the modern-day stuff hasn’t been done properly in years. Last time it was even interesting was the meta-humour in Black Flag. Even before with Desmond it was mostly just painting standard conspiracy theories like Denver International Airport as part of some ancient war.

Out of all criticisms one could give GoT, not being able to have sex is the least one

Sounds less like Ghost of Tsushima did anything wrong, but you didn’t want to play Ghost of Tsushima. GoT was presented to everyone as a game that took place in a particular era of Japan’s history while trying to be as accurate to that era as possible. All of your complaints deal with it being fairly historically

Opinion...
Ghost of Tsushima was superior to the most of the Assassin’s Creed games. The first few were good, then they lost their way.
If anything, they should take a good hard look at Tsushima and figure out how to improve on it.

I rather enjoyed GoT but to each their own.
