Orlando is actually very liberal ( my district in downtown Orlando went for Biden by a roughly 80-20 margin), but I don’t blame them for avoiding FL in general. DeSantis sucks, and the redneck parts of the state tend to outvote us in the cities.

I work for a small weekly newspaper that was bought by a large international media organization.

Yeah, I also read that as “meaningfully different switch hardware coming” not “another cosmetic variation coming.”

“New Switch hardware coming” is a hell of a way to word “there is a slightly differently colored Switch dock and controllers to tie in with the game”.

This comment section is going to be a shitshow tomorrow...

While fans might be excited to finally get an Assassin’s Creed set in Japan, a region of the world players have long wished for the series to visit, it sounds like you’ll need to wait a bit longer yet, as both games will reportedly launch no earlier than 2024.

It’s funny.  When he first announced this run, I genuinely feared that his celebrity would give him the win.  Then he campaigned.

to everyone wondering where our post was: this was it. it took a while assembling all the responses from current and former kotaku dot com staffers but all that time gave us the room to honor fahey in the best way we knew how. i didn’t get to work with him long but his personality and wit were infectious. im bummed

There’s is no one proper way to grieve, Mike would want us to forgive ourselves and have fun. Your honesty is refreshing!

Think I’ve teared up three times reading this site: Mike’s struggle with gaming addiction, Mike’s story about being in a coma, and today reading this tribute.

Thank you—and thanks Mike, rest well, you made a lot of people happy. Truly Fahey was the best of us.

I think that it is the radio static that has been on the site since it happened that is causing most people to speak up. Even if it’s something small, like others have suggested, it gives people a centralized location to share in their grief together. So I think the people that are frustrated are frustrated because of

I think people understand the points you’re making in this comment. They just don’t understand why these points are being expressed in the comment sections on unrelated articles rather than in a short article on the front page.

This is how Kotaku rolls now, “Edge reviews” that go against most of the trends in social media, forgetting about old co-workers that made this site what it is now, and many redacted articles of things you could find in a single twitter

It’s kinda sad to see what the site has become, to completely omit the death of a

I know writers don’t control the blog but Still no mention of Fahey, huh? Really sad to see Polygon report it first (even if most Kotaku old guard work there now).

I smell a conspiracy: the director and the actors realized that the movie is going to be terrible mid-way that they plotted the hijinks to feed the rumor mill like a Trumpian trolling campaign for media attention and viewer interest.

So the whole point of this place was to harass and scare people off the internet, but then as soon as they’re outsmarted (as they claim they were targeted, which lead to them being shut down) suddenly it’s unfair and an injustice?

Nazi bastards like Joshua Moon and his ilk can fuck right off into the nearest bottomless pit or black hole and remove themselves from the universe and existence forever.

“Companies wont take money to carry my message, its so UNFAIR!”
