Too bad they didn’t plan to go electric first.

Why aren’t EV subsidies going first to those who drive the most miles?

No need to drag Muslims into this. The Christians have done this by themselves.

I’d write off India for the time being. It is consumed by religious nationalism of the hard-right variety, which will keep economic growth and purchasing power low for the next 10-15 or 20 years.

If looks could Krill...

Could have used a better word than “molest”, now he’s comparing an actual crime to a first-world inconvenience (a car design that offends the sensibilities)

Neutral:

“Attorney General Frosh”. Their AG is someone named “Frosh” (a college freshman):-D

Perhaps you would get AWD only with a plug-in and not a full hybrid, as a plug-in would better support a separate motor for the rear axle (like the Lincoln Corsair plug-in vs. Escape hybrid). Perhaps.

Yes, Toyota has hybrids, but so do Honda and Ford. Wonder if those are selling well too.

Mustang Mach-E needs 48 A

Maybe not, but you might need a separate electric meter for EV charging so that you can take advantage of off-peak pricing

Yes! The target buyer for the CX-60 isn’t exactly looking for a sub-11 second quarter mile. These will sell well. A 0-60 mph time of 5.8 seconds is good enough to merge onto the freeway safely and confidently.

Kinda scary that

The man thinks he’s going to save the planet with everyone driving better cars, when in reality, the planet can only be saved by everyone *not driving at all*, and instead walking, cycling or taking public transport.

The problem is that US DoT regs for e-bikes are more restrictive than Europe. If those regs were loosened up, that would make way for more e-bikes. Plus, building bike-friendly infrastructure that keeps cars and bicycles in different (non-intersecting) paths is needed badly.

Risky idea, but fine if you can find a good mechanic around I guess.

That’s the story of all the oil-rich Persian Gulf states. Employers can even confiscate passports and prevent workers from leaving freely.

Just because the plug fits doesn’t mean the car will charge without issues. See the recent Jalopnik article “Middle of America is an EV charging wasteland”. A Porsche Panamera got bricked because the software handshake with a charger went FUBAR.
