It feels like years since I've been to Trader Joe's. 

My old dresser is all-wood too, over 100 years old, and it’s so well-made it’s insane! To get quality like that brand new right now would cost a fortune. I researched chalk paints and Chalky Chicks was what I went with, and I do remember they had a cool black color - go for it!

I bleach once with 20vol developer, wash and dry, then do a second bleach with 30vol plus a bond-repairing additive (the Ion one, which is like $1.79 at Sally’s), then wash and dry again, and then color.
