My list is also basically a map of the world.

My parents are planning a similar trip to Alaska for my siblings and their spouses and kids. I haven’t been and would be interested in going, but I have a trip of similar length planned to NYC that I have already paid for a little, and I don't get enough vacation days to cover both.

You don’t like my tone? Too damn bad. Maybe grow up and do your damn job.

“as a woman I’m tired of MEN policing my tone.”

It’s been ridiculously hot around here (over 40C which is like over 105F, I think) so I haven’t wanted to eat, let alone cook, but the other week I marinated large shrimp in red miso, sriracha, and rice vinegar for about an hour. Stuck them on skewers with onions, sweet peppers, and mushrooms and BBQ’d them up. So

If I had eggs, I would be in my kitchen making it rn. *edits shopping list*

I’m an Australian but my cousin’s an Austrian, so between the two of us, I’m sure we can get to the bottom of this. I’ll get back to you all as soon as we know something.

I support your coup!

I feel this. We are just over a year into owning ours, and have also replaced all of the appliances (except the trash compactor which I won’t talk about lest I jinx it), the deck, garage door opener, removed 3 100+ year old rotted trees, and just had to put on a new roof. 20K later, we’re considering a home warranty,

You’ll always care a little bit. I find it pretty much impossible to stop loving someone I’ve loved before. But it hurts less over time and you’ll find other things you love and know that you wouldn’t have gotten there had you not been through the hard times.

You may never get to that point, but that’s fine. It’s about being wiser for whatever the future brings your way :)

Monkey bread! That, and lemon pound cake is why I have Bundt pans.

Cuba is so wonderful. Check out the Havana Club museum if you have the chance on an excursion!

Not at all. No Dramamine fog.

Dramamine. Try the non drowsy up to 24 hour formula tabs, and sea sickness shouldn’t be a problem. Have fun!

Pick up some Sea-bands, they work better than any medication you can take and once your body adjusts to the boat’s motion you can just take them off. I get motion sickness at the drop of a hat and have used them for whale watching, a cruise in the Fjords (our room was mid-ship), and driving on windy roads and never

I realized after I wrote it that that might make you worry more about seasickness--most people are fine, I just think it is good to have what you need along in case you are one of unlucky small percentage that get seasick.

Def. take along some meds, it is really unpredictable who will get sea sickness; my experience is on a ~50 m research vessel, so probably quite a bit smaller than even a small cruise liner and this ship was not outfitted for comfort. I took scopalamine patches and found out I need them for about the first 18 hours.

You’re killing me, Smalls!

Honestly, the Oreos were one of Claire’s easiest project. There’s a whole series where she does the same thing with Twinkies, Skittles, Cheetos, etc.
