Full disclosure: I have two Janus motorcycles, both of them Halcyon 250's.

TOILET PAPER.

I wouldn’t doubt it a bit.  My dad had a ‘78 model that was slowly rusting back to the earth from whence it came... and not just in the usual spots, rust holes appeared randomly all over the body.  I knew an autobody guy that worked at a local Chevy dealer when they were sold new, and he told me that they would get

Counterpoint: My wife and I once had a Forenza.  I still haven’t forgiven Suzuki for that experience.

Not to mention that the Yugo had a crankshaft that was apparently made of cheese, or some other similar material.  Yeah, the Chevette was horrible (my family has had three of them over the years) but at least they could reach the end of their lifespan with the original crankshaft in the engine...

Although I was aware of the Cannonball, I actually hadn’t read the Yates’ book - or Roy’s book for that matter - until after I had made my first coast-to-coast run (albeit the short route from Jacksonville FL to San Diego). I enjoyed reading the accounts from a variety of competitors - it gave a good variety of

In January of 2017, I went to the local Ford dealer with my 2014 Mustang, car clean, all paperwork and title in hand, ready to trade for a brand-new blue ‘17 Mustang GT. I had looked at the car after-hours and on their website. I had done quite a bit of research, had found the invoice price online, and was ready to

The driveshaft on my ‘17 has been fine so far. But, the ‘14 V6 w/ Performance Package that I had before it would start vibrating from driveshaft imbalance in the high 90's. The aftermarket driveshaft was the only mod I did to it... and it was worth every penny.

Hmmm... I guess they couldn’t use the Ford method - just put a ridiculously low speed limiter on the car to keep the driveshaft from self-destructing. The 2011-2014 Mustangs with the 3.7 are notorious for driveshaft failure if you remove the limiter...

I have a ‘17 Mustang GT... and the hood displays a disturbing amount of vertical movement under certain conditions at high speeds on the highway. I have seriously been considering hood pins since the hood movement makes me nervous... but not the gaudy chrome pins, perhaps some black flush mounts like AeroCatch makes.

Looks like a booger... but it’s snot...

I have a ‘17 5.0 Mustang that I bought new, and got 34k miles out of the first set of tires.  And I’m a loooong way from 78 year old...

So, I have experience with two different Mustangs, a ‘14 3.7 V6 and a ‘17 5.0 V8, both with 3.31 gears and manual transmissions. Both have seen extended cruising speeds in the high 90's - low 100's. Both got in the low 20 MPG range at those speeds, with the little V6 having just a slight edge in fuel economy. Last

Darn right they should include gas mileage results for actual highway driving speeds...  :-D

Very cool!

The pictures are deceptive - there was plenty of tread on the tires. I’m gonna blame the bald appearance on 1) poor lighting, 2) low def pictures taken on a potato, and 3) washed out appearance due to extreme salt coating on the tread.

Highlander, that Mazda has a 33% bigger engine than the Yaris, so I hope you get at least 5 mph... :-D

How fast did the BMW go? Wife’s Yaris did 111 (indicated) downwind:

Cannonball? Even if you aren’t going for the outright record, you should do it. I love long distance road trips...

Everything is lined up nicely, and the hood seems securely and snugly latched. It’s been this way since brand new, although I didn’t really notice it until I had it broke in and started running it on the highway. And, there is the distinct possibility that the movement isn’t as much as I perceive it to be, that it
