There was a joke in the trailer, missing in the movie, about how short Cavill is. He picks up Vikander's high-heels and asks 'are these yours or mine?'

No one said she was a selling point, but most of the reviews are pointing out how good she is. She has real star presence in this.
Next stop Marvel, probably.

It's a lot of fun. I don't understand some of the sniffy reviews.
Cavill and Hammer are very charming, Hammer in particular looks like he needs a cuddle for most of the movie….but that might be me projecting.
I hope it does well enough for a sequel, especially if the full team, as implied by the end of this movie, all

I love this movie. I have only a passing familiarity with DFW but it didn't matter. I'd consider it to be the best representation of depression I've sen in a movie. I look forward to puking into a bucket in February 2016 when Segal doesn't win the Oscar.

Keaton, Ruffalo, Tucci and Slattery are all in the 27%ers club, so that already makes this movie 108% good.

I'm calling it, niche joke of the year.

She's a great fit for a Joe Lansdale show. Always wished that Dennis Quaid or Kurt Russell would play Hap. But I'll take what I can get.

This episode stands as my favourite of any show I saw this year. And they should give Sharon Horgan an Oscar for it. Even though it's not a movie. Because fuck it.

Although I have no idea why it's called Tangerine. Anyone?

I'm so happy I saw this movie. After Terminator Genisys bored me to tears this is a hugely welcome slap to the face. So funny, and both warm hearted and mean spirited.

Every review of this movie in the UK managed to avoid giving away the fact that the granddad dies. So, Mike, it's a little bit shitty to put that in the review.
Maybe you could review the movie rather than writing a list of things which happen in said film?

Chad Rowe? Next to nothing is known? That's actually Charlie Rowe who was the lead in Red Band Society. Dreadful it may have been, but it makes him less of a non-entity.

Also, i've always pronounced 'Norrell' in the same way that Drawlight does, so I'm now concerned that makes me an utter arse.

This show is so good. I love the book, and this is an excellent adaptation. The two leads are perfect. Bertie Carvel was incredible in Matilda on stage, and it's great he's getting recognition here too.
In the next couple of episodes it starts getting really creepy. And the magic is handled extremely well. I'm now

Agreed. The show is not only magnificent in its own right, but also makes me want to read the book again. It's creepy, exciting and moving.
Eddie Marsan and Bertie Carvel are perfect. After seeing Carvel on stage in Matilda, I'm glad he's getting a wider audience here.

Then maybe don't read articles about David Sedaris?

If Dennis Quaid isn't cast as Hal in Jim Mickle's TV show adaptation of Joe R. Lansdale's books then there's no justice in this World.
Also, there's no justice in this World.

His routine about seducing a straight boy is perfect. I think it was in 'Numb'.

No no, I am a british, and it was pretty spot-on, especially for such a specific accent. I doff my bowler hat to Ms. Strong.

I vote for the Rock's line reading of '……dearly' as the highlight of SNL in years.
