You make a joke, but during crowded events I am happy when I see people hopping the curb to park their SUVs and trucks on the grass. Normally I see them tip-toeing over small bumps and avoiding curbs altogether.

I think the Sport Package cars came with summer tires, which were excellent and provided way more grip than the all-seasons on the base 330i. I would argue the number of gas stations is driven by the profitable convenience stores attached to them, and not due to some rational number of gas pumps needed.

For as much as I surmise you spent on your X1 and the Campagnolo hardware, hopefully you keep it long enough to wait out any market changes with regard to shifting preference.

The battery lasts long enough and the charging time is short enough to almost be trivial. I suppose in a lot of cases the simplicity in build and assembly gained by having 2 less cables to route through the frame is attractive to builders. Even with wires you’d still need to charge or replace batteries.

The big rig mechanic videos are equally fascinating. Take every aspect of car specs and maintenance and double or triple the size - tools, fasteners, brake pad size, turbos, displacement, fluids, torque values, etc.

I know far too many parents that are in denial when it comes to car seat recommendations. Moving their kids out of seats before they’re ready, putting them in the front seat before they’re big enough, and not putting them in seats to begin with.
