Hi Mr. Dealership,

Our 1 and only Hyundai was a V6 Santa Fe. It reminded me of a Korean Chrysler. Packed with value (features per dollar) but lacking in refinement and dealership experience. The “welcoming area” at our local dealer’s service department was subpar at best.

I suppose that’s where it originally came from. I distinctly remember a detailing pro that described the method for automotive glass in a recent video.

I forget where I learned this tip but it sounds great: when cleaning glass, alternate directions. For example: wipe up and down on exterior glass, and up and side to side on interior glass. That way, if you miss a spot you can tell where it is by the direction of the smear.

That’s not quite what he said. He said a showroom perfect car with low miles and no modifications would be worth $10k (to him). The car in this article has double the miles with modifications and a rebuilt title. It’s all that stuff combined that diminishes the value.

There probably wasn’t much case for a V6, either. The 2nd gen RDX, which featured a standard V6 and was released just 2 years after the TSX wagon, was probably what Acura wanted people to buy anyway.

It’s such a shame this car was never offered with stick shift, especially since the TSX sedan already had one. I guess the TSX wagon was already a niche model that was quickly getting overshadowed by the RDX, and no good business case could be made for a manual variant.

I’m not sure about that. Everything coming off the ship looks to have a white tarp around it.

Here’s a photo from another source that shows the front section completely missing the glass. Perhaps that was the point of failure, or perhaps the failure was with the hull and pushed the glass out.

Those Ambient Light colors are pretty gaudy, and can easily be changed to something more subtle.

I remember taking road trips in the ~2016 TDI Sportwagen and Passat. When cruising on the highway the range was unbelievable! I wanna say it was 750 miles on the Passat TDI.
