That were not presented in the game or through any kind of in game experience. I shouldn’t have to read a book to enjoy/understand a game or movie’s story.

I would as well, but it is most likely under Bungie or Activision’s ownership because he created it while working there.
Well, it could be the fact that he believed in something (artistic integrity?) and did not feel like sitting quietly over it.
That or the corporate part of Bungie took over for the creatives.
I don’t think Bioware is a shell of its former self yet.
I want to experience lore in the game. I also would like it to be done through cutscenes, voice overs, etc. I don’t want to sit there and read a book.
