My grandmother would once in a while make us “chicken-fried bacon” as a special breakfast treat. It was only once in a while because chicken-fried bacon popped terribly, and she always got at least one grease burn. But boy, it surely was good! To the best of my recollection (I am 68, after all), she dipped the bacon

At the end of pool season, emptying that sucker is will be a bitch.

We don’t have an Asian market within 50 miles or so, but I do have access to turkey necks. I think I’ll give them a fry.

I’m going to give this a try with my husband’s fave, Banana Nut muffin mix. I like the sound of this crumb cake!

There are non-invasive types available:

As very useful and well-written article - thank you very much. I’ve bookmarked this for future (and maybe current!) use.

Or put a solar-powered bubbler in to keep the water moving. That will help a bit.

My airpods (handmedowns from husband) are 2ndGen, and when I go to them in the Settings as instructed, there is no “Accessibility” mode. So I guess I’m stuck with ear-shattering rings when someone calls me. Oh well.

She represents Mint Hill -  I should have known: 82% white, 18% higher education.

I wonder how much oatmeal could be added without affecting the moisture of the dough? Or would one need to drop some of the flour? I really like the idea of oatmeal-raisin cookie brittle!

This sounds like a good idea, since I love milkshakes and Bailey’s -- win/win! My husband said he wouldn’t even bother straining out the ice for his drink. (I would want mine strained!)

We tried this recipe Sunday morning, and thought it needed a bit more salt. We made muffins, and I think next time I’ll try the small cake instead just to see which we like better.

This sounds amazing, and something I must try. Starting cheap, definitely!

No. Not for me, it wasn’t. I really like recipes to be written out, especially those which specify amounts of ingredients, even only 3 of them. And though she said “Boursin” she meant specifically Garlic-Herb Boursin. Please. Run the video if you must, but can you not also post the written recipe somewhere? Please?

This is how we do it too; we have a split king with separate controls for head/foot lifting, which was wonderful when I had to elevate my legs due to a severe infection. I love the separate comforters, because I get hot when he is still chilly, so I use summer weight while he likes the Arctic mode.

Thanks.

Why have I been banished to the grays again???

Or at the very least, the author might have alphabetized the list before publishing.

If you live in a state which still does vehicle inspections, that is...

I wonder if I could do this in my Instant Pot instead of my dutch oven, so the immersion blender would be usable? I really dislike trying to “batch blend” anything, and avoid it whenever possible. Also, I like using the IP for things other than just pressure cooking all the time.
