I was in elementary school when Here Come the Brides was on, and all of my little friends had crushes on Bobby Sherman, but I thought David Soul was the cutest.  R.I.P.

It wasn’t widely seen, but she was the snobby mother-in-law in The Ref, and she was wonderful in it.  Rest in peace, Ms. Johns.

I read elsewhere that the Smothers’ father was a career army officer, and he died in WWII, and I wonder if that influenced their strong anti-war views. Goodbye Tom Smothers, your will be missed.

With two decades in between its amazing that any of the actors were able to return. That said, I still say “but I don’t want to be a pie” almost daily, so maybe it isn’t that long.

Doing a film depicting a real person is tricky, especially if the person was extensively photographed.  We all know how Bernstein looked, and if Cooper wants to look like him, that’s ok with me.  However, having a well known star looking very different from his normal self can be off putting to an audience, like Jared…
