But that is not proper decorum. When they go low, we go high. We just need to reach across the aisle, heal the division, and win them over with our love. And whatever other fucking platitudes that allow Democratic politicians to continue being spineless, and do anything that threatens their cushy political careers.

Now playing

Oops, I haven’t watched the video yet, and then I didn’t read your post closely enough.

The roller guys does it for me. Either that or the head swapping.

wElL AcTuAlLy, language is fluid, and highly influenced by common usage & pronunciation, even as that morphs and develops. So, whether you are “right” is irrelevant to how the word has become commonly pronounced.

Although I disagree on principle, starring you for an excellently pedantic linguistics argument.

I ❤️ this.

Deal with it by attending anyway, putting everybody (including your fellow travellers, your co-workers at home, etc.), at risk? Imho, that’s not dealing with it, that’s capitulation.

Fair enough.

1) Empty seats between passengers? I think that empty rows between passengers would be necessary to really significantly reduce risk. Especially over a long haul flight - this isn’t a bank teller line where you may be in the proximity of people for 10min tops.

I’m not sure where your numbers come from, but is that specific to airplane travel? There is an increased risk the longer people are in close contact, even with masks. I feel like that number is not fully accurate for a several-hour plane ride. And then there is the chaos of the terminals at either end.

You’re right, they are very similar situations, with even more extended periods of cheek to jowlness. And I’m not sure you’re previous experiences will line up with what will probably happen during this historically busy holiday.

Snarky tone aside, you raise a fair point of discussion.

Are you certain that will be true come Wednesday night?

But can you say the same for the inevitably jam-packed terminals?

With all due respect to the light tone of your post: in-law hassles are seriously more troublesome then, say, your health?
