Don't hate me for this, but all I can picture is this:

Classic motor racing: a time when "splash and dash" meant stopping for a quick tea.

I wish I had an apology horn or lights or something. I like to think I'm a good driver, so when I screw up I feel really bad about it.

Isn't megna that stuff that collects on the inside of a foreskin?

I've been going about this all wrong. Time to get a Nissan GT-Reliable. Jaguar XF-ReliabilitySpecial, perhaps?

Oddly enough, plate tectonics is one of the few things I remember from geography. Bhutan? Pretty sure that's a new tanning salon up the road. Uruguay? What are you calling me that for? Canada? Impossible to find, all tucked away down there...

Agreed. The V8s died when the rev limits were put on them; I think a Renault engineer said that they could've run 20,000RPM (or more) consistently and reliably. The V8s were strangled at 18,000RPM, and sounded like shit. I don't care if the new turbos are quiet, the old engines did not sound any better (louder, sure,

To play the devil's advocate: you can learn to drive an automatic, too. My car has an ancient 4-speed, but I know how to take all the corners on my morning commute so I can keep it in it's proper rev range, and it seems to shift down/up very well according to how I'm driving.

It worked in your favour this time, but down the line, having such difficulty moving the cars is only going to make the company not want to produce them anymore, which is a shame for everyone.

Watching the on board perspective of the accident is dizzying. Haven't had a great on board shot like that since Webber's launch off the back of the Caterham in Spain a few years ago.

-obligatory whinging about noise

This, from BMW these days is no surprise. It's basically become acceptable because it's jus so expected that a new niche is found and promptly filled.

The article failed to mention it was a "light" decapitation; a mere flesh wound.

It looks like a LMP car from a parallel universe. Neat.

I was expecting a car made from bits of Williams and Caterham from the Australian GP first corner crash.

I'm sorry, that should be #omgalmostdiedtodaylol

A moonroof?

Otso - a bear, king of the forest
Luoto - islet

Maybe AMG can build a few extra V12s that would normally go into a Zonda...
