Not gonna lie, if this was all we ever got from the Star Citizen project, I’d be ok with that. This looks amazing. I didn’t back the game so I guess I don’t have as much investment in the full product as others do, but the campaign at least has my interest.

I’ve been following the progress loosely, since following something like a video game closely is like watching a pot of water boil for X years. Their recent tech improvements are pretty amazing... but the Lorville livestreams they showed are much more impressive than this trailer. I guess that wasn’t covered. Easier

Anyone find this kind of silly given the context of murdering hundreds of people in a death game built around the same style of another game on the same engine which was built on the story of japanese school children mudering each other that was stolen by a random white lady for a popular book then movie series?

I find it hilarious that people are already bitching over cyberpunk, yet there’s a consistent banner in the game along the lines of

No, it’s really not.

“You dont understand people if you think men and women are equal.”

For a game I’ve never played before, I find these updates strangely fascinating.

They dont have a publisher. That was one of the main reasons for doing this and one of the big attractions for some people. The game can and will be made the way the community and dev team want and wont have to listen to a publisher that forcing an unfinished game out the door in pursuit of profits. What angers me

Star Citizen is going to go down in history as the game that was shaped by public opinion.

Notice how when new stuff for Star Citizen comes out you don’t hear a peep from journalists, yet when there is any sort of news like this about the project, or they are changing engines (which amounted to very little) or there

I feel for the guy, but he made *61 different donations*. That is not someone who is suddenly shocked by a game radically changing from something he’s physically capable of playing to one he isn’t physically capable of playing, he appears to have been deeply involved with keeping up with the various alpha developments

i mean, that’s a bit myopic and hyperbolic.

hell bernie madoff scammed people for millions, if not billions this guy lost less than 5k

could argue the mortgage lending crisis was trillions, and was an orchestrated scam.

student loan debt, is an ongoing gov backed scam.

She was happy totalbiscuit died, and posted that on a public account. You can probably bet she caused prior issues at work as well. She also blew up on everyone because of a perfectly reasonable tweet from a fan. Many of the fans know more about the story than the devs, since they’ve been playing longer than the devs

Two Guild Wars 2 narrative designers, Jessica Price and Peter Fries, were fired after Jessica attacked a well-established community member for asking a questions, shouted sexism, and refused to back down. This led people to dig into her Twitter page and realize she frequently posts opinions that ArenaNet does not

I don’t think you understand what a pyramid scheme is... People investing in what you think is a game that won’t ever get finished does not make something a pyramid scheme.

There’s nothing shady about what they’ve been doing. It’s pure, crowdfunded development, it’s the same as kickstarter or patreon, but over many

First degree murder, because the shitbag cop already had it in his head that the person answering the door was armed (I believe you keep referring to malice aforethought; thinking someone is armed with zero evidence is a rather malicious thought process).

Read the asshole’s call, he paint a ready desperate situation so the cops have no time to lost or pacifist options, a second of doubt and the criminal can burn the hostages alive.

Since istari rises has seen fit to dismiss my replies, I thought I’d copy them here. I’m including their relevant posts; I’d prefer not to mischaracterize the exchange:

Istari

The problem is that doesn’t match the legal definition; I’m surprised that the OED characterizes murder as non-criminal.

Edit: I am NOT saying the cop is innocent. I am saying that laws have definitions for a good reason.
