Paprika is fine. It loses the thread so often it can be a pain to watch because of how many lulls there are. Not to say I overall dislike it though, the setpieces really are fantastic. If someone was just getting into Anime I’m not sure I’d say it’s the right place to start.

Jump cut doesn’t mean it was shot in one long take. It’s just intentially edited to disorientate the viewer. The “jump” is the suddenness of the transition.
