I have a bunch of cassette adapters at home. Certain makes/models never worked right. I had the most luck with Toyotas and some of the older Fords.

I killed a fuel pump in a 96 civic after running out of gas. I replaced a fuel pump in an old Ciera after running out of gas in the aftermath of Hurricane Sandy. It didnt die like the Civic, but got noisy, a telltale sign of impending doom.

Ditto when I had my scat pack. The louder the better.

I installed muffler deletes on my WRX with 1000 miles. Way too quiet stock. It might be too loud now (opinions vary), but still worth it. Manual cars benefit from a loud exhaust, not so much on an automatic.

If you havent tuned yet, I highly recommend getting an Access Port. Even just a stage 1 OTS tune does wonders, completely changes the car. I considered trading the car in when it had the stock tune, that’s how bad it was. Did you check out the 2018? ...not a fan of the revised front, looks even more like an Evo, but…
