The Equinox SS was so bland they scrapped the 'SS' badge and just called it a visual upgrade, or some such shit.

I thought it was a great victory to mankind when the CEO of BMW NA announced in a press release that he regretted everything about this car — it was a 7-series available to 5-series budgets (so 7-series sales dropped off), and wagon buyers went to Audi and Mercedes instead. Yep...good job guys.

But...isn't it the first mass-produced BMW car? I don't think the first model an automaker produces can be a disgrace to the company (no matter how goofy it is)...

It's tragic, but at least they managed to save some great cars: 300SL, E30 M3, Alfa Romeo, Shelby Cobra, and Datsun Z.
