I...
I...
The morning of my hysterectomy, they did a pregnancy test. The nurse attending me pre-op told me they wanted to make sure I wasn’t pregnant, because then they wouldn’t do the procedure... one I was only going through with because of a huge fibroid that may have been cancerous.
Term limits would sidestep the issue entirely.
At what point does “fuck ageism” transition to “maybe people in their 70s and 80s, and jesus christ, their 90s shouldn’t have the deathgrip on power”?
This pisses me off beyond measure. Loss of a wanted pregnancy is a tragedy, but women are so often treated as third class citizens in this country especially in health care.
I preface this comment with stating that I understand that this not how anything works and you are right about what will happen, but why should Dems give a shit about Bill Clinton at this point?
I have a young child, who I absolutely adore and would give my life for. That being said, until my child was actually born, I wanted my life prioritized over my unborn child’s life. I made this very clear to everyone who was there at birth; if it was between me and the unborn child, I wanted it to be me. Maybe this…
I acknowledge I’m not fond of kids nor want them, but I would be freaked out as fuck at someone ever saving a potential person over a person. If someone hasn’t developed their brain enough to make basic human decisions (honestly I’d say post-birth there is still some of this time), I’d rather save the capable adult…
What the actual fuck, though, because if the woman dies, the wonderful, magical fetus dies, anyway???
That is horrific!
Omg
I don’t feel bad for his family. They’re probably the ones that brainwashed him and made him think this was ok in the first place. This is the logical conclusion.
The last paragraph says it all: private equity. These corporate vultures purposely load an acquisition with a heavy amount of debt these companies didn’t originally generate with the absolute expectation of an eventual bankruptcy—thus destroying the company, but also wiping out the debt. Just imagine if you could…
I may be a filthy millennial, but all these stories about the faltering of traditional capitalist markets is starting to make me think that it’s not all because of the avocados.
You can tell how scared the establishment is of AOC by how hard they’re working to tear her down.
I only found out with the anniversary pieces this year: it wasn’t even Kool-Aid, it was Flavor-Aid. Obviously I feel bad firstly for the victims and their families, but I also feel a bit bad for Kool-Aid. That’s such a shitty thing to be accidentally connected to!
THANK.
great interview!!! As a small breasted lady I would like to point out that VS fails those of us on the opposite end of the spectrum as well. I’ve never been able to find a properly fitting bra there that wasn’t a bralette.
She’s the right person for the job right now. I have a record of encouraging the party to promote younger people, particularly for the 2020 Presidential. But the job of Speaker (when performered properly, as she did 2007-2011) is managerial, and she’s an excellent administrator/delegator.
