A double red donation (also known as a Power Red) is similar to a whole blood donation, except a special machine is used to allow you to safely donate two units of red blood cells during one donation while returning your plasma and platelets to you. It takes roughly twice as long, but you have to wait twice as long

WHAT?!?

I’ve never been a fan of trying to recreate my favorite childhood snack foods in my own kitchen.

This is the correct take...

Move closer to the router (or as others have said use an ethernet cable)

Fair enough! I live in Pennsylvania Dutch country, so I’d like to think we are less panicky then the average american. I went to the grocery store Tuesday evening, and the only thing they were out of was toilet paper. It was also dead, I’m pretty sure there were more baggers/cashiers than customers. They had a full

I usually plan my donations 3-4 donations in advance to use my local drives as much as possible. Right now I have all of mine planned thru December!  (I’m also A- so I can do double red and do half the donations) So yeah, it’s the earliest I can go! :)

BTW...as far as I know the Red Cross is still accepting donations. I’m scheduled in a few weeks at an actual blood cross donation center. I’m sure most drives have been cancelled, and I don’t know how many actual blood donation centers there are, but it’s something to look into, especially considering with the lack of

I’m on both sides of this coin.

Nice! I actually just made a giant pot of clam chowder, using, just like your recommendation, baby clams. Though I’m so cheap I spent a few seconds comparing two brands of baby clams to figure out which had the most clams in the can. Had to multiply the grams of protein by the serving size, then divide that by the

LOL, let me run to my mulch guy and ask for a ton of volcanic soil *sarcasm*

Same. I did a college missions trip and we took a bus from Penn State to Orlando, Florida. I brought a half gallon of apple cider on the way down to drink, then left it in the overhead storage with some of the cider left (accidentally). On the way back it was discovered, and let’s just say it smelled like hard apple

Hold up. I bought plum tomatoes yesterday at $2.99 a pound. Now at my grocery store, a 28 ounce can (just under 2 pounds) of store brand (often a name brand is one sale as well) crushed (or whole) tomatoes is $1. So you’re saying that buying half the tomato at three times the price is saving money? Now I realize that

I just saw a Brain Games episode on this on a plane just last week!

Yeah, I have a Nissan Frontier with over 125,000 miles and I’ve never had to replace anything except for tires, brakes, and fluids. It’s a truck and my story is anecdotal, but I can’t imagine having to deal with all that stuff. And it’s not like I take it easy on my truck either...

My local grocery store was limiting bread purchases to 2 per family the other day. I understand (not really) toilet paper, canned goods, frozen food, etc as they can all be stored for a while. But bread?!? It goes bad in a few weeks, store made bread even quicker. And if your buying (read: hoarding) lots of chicken

Apparently he has a disease where if he goes more than 12 hours without putting himself in front of camera, he’ll shrivel up and die. Its called hyponarcissistitis or something similar...

I’ve heard equal parts gasoline and orange juice concentrate.  Never tried it, because I like my body rare instead of well done.  Or end up on some terrorist watchlist...
