Damn, damn DAMN!

I get it. I was raised to be a strong Christian, but the shoes didn’t fit and I have been an indifferent Deist - at best, for years. I do not have any female relatives or friends who are not religious. My best friend was always searching, but it seems she found what she was looking for. When I tell other Black folks I

Eh, he’s 84 & Black. If he had to cling to his beliefs to make it through all that; well I can’t blame him. I hope whoever he really is sleeps well at night.

Length & breadth of career. Popularity. # of hits. All the meaningful markers of success.

I love Pink, not sure Kesha is her “peer”.

I’m not saying this is right, but if you have 2 C sections - you had better have an OB who is on board with a VBAC BEFORE you go into labor. My gyno is going to perform an open myomectomy in 2 weeks and she already told me if I want to have her for OB it is a C section. She ain’t playing.

Transgender folk “other” themselves. Identifying people has become a convoluted mess and many folks are overwhelmed/ confused.

It is a national embarrassment that this should be necessary. Still, at the end of the day- I just want the people suffering to have what they need, by any means...

Nope, the point had already been made in my initial response in English.

Yeah, I speak it for shit, it been several hundred miles and like 15 years thatI’ve used it at all. But my point was made. Don’t hate on someone (Beyonce) for doing something good, but not exactly the way you think they should. It is petty as fuck.

¡Oh Dios mío! Ella hirió sus sentimientos. ¿Era esa “tu canción”? Crece la mierda.

Meh, I was a fan of the original. I had a Will & he actually is a lawyer. Still, I loved it at the time only because it occasionally reflected people in my life that I loved.

Lol, she has donated plenty to hurricane relief. I would also guess that she chose this song specifically because it has been en fuego for awhile and the title translates to “My people”. She is making a nod that everyone is mi gente.

Something else troubles me about these narratives. I grew up in poor minority neighborhoods and practically no one called CPS or the police- ever. You only did that shit if people were possibly dying. So, in some of these stories it is clear that a neighbor had to call and unless it happened to be a mandatory

Damn, last time I checked- plenty of women don’t identify as feminists either. The label is problematic. I judge people by their behavior, what work they do and ideals they uphold.

You must be high.

Do I think certain things could have been handled better? Yes. Do I think any of these parents was raked over the coals, had their rights violated, and/or were separated from their kids for too long? No.

How about you get a housekeeper so your child won’t be embarrassed to have friends over? Or so the parents’ of said friends will allow them to come more than once?

Parents are human, so are children. I do not favor giving parents repeated chances to fuck up lives that are just beginning. We all have flaws, own them and change them. Don’t wait for CPS to show up at your door to acknowledge you are being an asshole. The kids don’t deserve it and they are the ones that are helpless

Actually, I definitely thought about if removal was necessary and I believe it was. You did read about how that mother had been investigated previously? And she was so consumed with grief that she left her children in an unsafe and unsanitary situation on purpose? CPS doesn’t remove kids for merely dirty. Her excuse
