Here’s the thing, we Black women don’t value Black women. Not as whole, flawed human beings. We value characteristics, parts of a whole. Mostly strength, a characteristic that does not ever allow us to see ourselves as victims of anything.

I have never seen a true mansion that wasn’t gross and in poor taste. They are ostentatious and unnecessarily garish displays of wealth.

This just seems ridiculous to me. Rarely do my husband and I need to go shopping together. Either he or I already know what we are getting before we go out. We do not decide jointly, in the store- unless it is furniture.

Ooookaaaay. I have zero complaints or concerns. An author’s name is like a brand and I have a pseudonym appropriate to every genre I write. The names are legitimately tied to me, but I don’t currently have plans to use my whole everyday name on any book jacket.
