What they’ll say:

I’m not an owner either, but it does appear to be prettay-prettay bad.

True, though I still think he was probably very frustrated.

I feel like it was a bit of a no-win there. Displaying frustration would have been pure, raw, red meat. Imagine the headlines, the tweets and the leg up it would have given Trump to be able to say his predecessor was “frustrated”. That would have turned into an endless parade of stories about Obama’s team “Sabatoging”

Honestly, this is terrible advice for trying to deal with Trump. I think Obama was being nice, trying to subtly point out that, regardless of political preferences, Trump was going to make a terrible President.

Like I said, they could modulate it by forcing people back to the register every hour to buy something. I guess I should say “why should the business care”? If the tablet and laptop people are spending $2-4 an hour, they’re probably monetizing them just as effectively as any other customer, if not moreso.

Perhaps if he hadn’t shown up last night already lining out NRA propaganda, it’d be worthwhile to not lay into him.

I think that solving the issue requires a lot more fundamental change than dealing with the NRA though.

Why is it so hard to see who the best of us are when no one is being asked to sacrifice their life to save someone else?

As much as I respect Kim for those positions, it’s less about the politics than it is about some weird combination of oratory skills and coming across as a somber, dignified person who takes life seriously.

I do think, in this case, the rank hypocrisy of an article that is essentially “WHY IS THIS STORY NOT THE NARRATIVE INSTEAD OF A FEEL-GOOD STORY ?” is overwhelming enough for people to at least be a bit tired of it.

Or don’t even charge for it, but come up with a way to make it so that a given person can only log in for an hour before they have to come to the register again.

Naw, they shouldn’t. They could modulate it by giving out one time logon tokens that only last an hour or two at the register if someone asks for one.

Even if he weren’t opposed to gun control, this would still be one of the most depressing things about Trump as President.

I don’t know that it’s the exception. It might be in the fantasy world where people have WASP-ey balance sheets, but many people could put an immediate burst of liquidity to use on risk-free guaranteed returns ranging from the mid-teens to the high 20s to the extent they have any consumer credit card debt.

That depends on the scale of the raise relative to the bonus, and what you could do with the bonus money you would receive today.

I think it depends on the organization you work for, your field of work, your life circumstances and the scale of the bonus relative to the raise.

I think that raises are better than bonuses.
