Yes. It was PBS, but it was certainly there. In my day, post-primetime PBS was all about Red Green and Monty Python's Flying Circus. Advanced International Comedy Studies. It was truly a heady time in not having a girlfriend.

I'm a Texan, from about as far away from Canada as you can be before you become Mexican, but I watched a helluva lot of late nite The Red Green Show on the PBS when I was in high school.

Waylon Mercey was played with unsettling skill by Dan Spivey, but he was too broken down physically to get much of a run with the gimmick. Too bad really.
