Are gaming grannies the new FOTM?
Unsurprisingly, Skyrim: Special Edition quickly became one of the most popular games on Steam over the weekend. And…
This week on Kotaku Splitscreen, Jason and I tackle the biggest gaming question of the next five months: What…
“I’m sick and tired of people like you...”
I had to pause the video and take a moment when Newt fucking Gingrich accused Fox fucking News of liberal bias.
Please let this election end already. It just feels so weird rooting for Megyn Kelly for something.
I think it it does become backwards compatible with the Wii U they’ll simply sell the Gamepad separately.
we can only hope.
But, I didn’t like the constantly looking back and forth in games that used it in that fashion. Starfox, for instance.
Okay... So the best defense is a good offense?
“so having the map, inventory, and option menus on the gamepad doesn’t add anything?”
Nah, see I own a WiiU and a bunch of games. Mario 3D World, Zelda Twilight Princess, Hyrule Warriors, Bayonetta 2 Donkey Kong Tropical Freeze and New Mario Bros WiiU, Wind Waker, Star Fox are games I’ve played off friends.
I wouldn’t be surprised if they were directly approached by Nvidia about re-marketing it. ;)
I think you’ll enjoy roomscale tbh. I haven’t tried an Oculus Rift or PSVR, so I can’t comment on how the SDE is in comparison, but IIRC VR games at the moment are really badly optimized with SLI, and in some cases just don’t support using the second card, except as like a dedicated physics card or something, which…
It does. But, it does on the PC version in some places too. In fact it’s more noticeable on PC because you’re cruising at 120 fps to suddenly have them fall to 30 or 15 for no obvious reason. I mean, I’m not saying the PC versions are not superior, they are. But you are changing the context of your original argument.
of course you can only look at one screen at a time. but having additional information right there on the controller is incredibly useful and is much more efficient than pushing a button to pause the game and open a menu. Wind Waker proved that.
I really like how dense the backgrounds are and overall the art design is quite well done.
