That CGI of the Star Destroyers moving out of the Shadows look so, so, so good. Actually intimidating and not just here is a big scary weapon in the middle of space that we have told you is big and scary so you should believe us, like in TFA.

This is a truly gorgeous looking film so far. The color palette, diffused lighting and dynamic use of shadow are so striking, it really has me excited to see the film. And I was very reluctant about the idea of Star wars ad infinitum.

Death Star 1 was estimated at 140km diameter, so bigger than Deimos, but still much smaller than Earth’s moon or the 6 larger moons of Jupiter. About half the size of Mimas, Saturn’s Death Star look-alike.

The Death Star is in space... there is no “upside down” ... that’s just the orientation of the camera in three dimensional space.

There is only one thing I WANT to see in this movie. The Death Star jumping to hyperspace. We know it’s capable of it. The sheer magnitude of a small planet going into, and coming out of lightspeed is just awesome.
