The Cell (PS3) architecture isn’t inferior to x86 (PS4). It’s actually more efficient per watt and offers faster data throughput. The real problem with it is that it’s more difficult to develop for. And of course it is. It’s newer technology. x86 has been around since the 1978.

I picked it up this morning and played about 2 hours before I had to get ready for work. So far I like it a lot. The only problem I have at all so far is the controls that you mentioned.
The run is right trigger? and jump is left trigger? I was like ‘Who the hell thought that up?’

Maybe I’m not far enough in to have the

I got the game in the mail yesterday, a surprise birthday gift from my parents. I played through two story missions last night, so admittedly, not enough to make a solid judgment. That said, it’s fun enough so far. It’s probably not going to sink its teeth into me like Shadow of Mordor, Bloodborne, Rogue Legacy, or

Interesting. You guys and IGN landed on two very different planets in regards to this game.

the opening paragraph is you complaining about getting paid to play and then write about a video game.

I don’t really think games necessarily desensitize us though. I guess all I have is my personal, anecdotal evidence, but I’ve been gaming for probably 35 years, played many Mortal Kombats, did my Call of Duties and pretty much anything in-between (not to mention all of the horror movies, rap/metal music, etc), and

I have never been bothered by in game violence, from the tamest of violence like in zelda games to the brutal violence found in God of War or Manhunt. These never bothered me because i know it ISN’T REAL.

I can witness a million acts of fake violence on both Video Games and TV and Movies and never become desensitized

“No, video games won’t save you—they might even kill you—and the jury is still very much out as to whether they improve or imperil the world”

Sorry but what the fuck?

“Once I started having to opportunity to write about video games for an audience that traditionally doesn’t care about video games and thinks they’re a waste of time—”. Hah, so once your audience is people that have no clue about the subject matter, you can write whatever you like and no one will call you on your BS.

I agree, it seems in poor taste after already mentioning this tidbit in the other Rare Replay articles. I didn’t think we needed an entire article on it.

But we already know that. Did we need another article pointing it out? No.

So what exactly is the point of this article? To shit on Nintendo...? To mock them for not buying Rare? You guys already talked about how awesome Rare Replay is in your review, so I don’t feel like this post was really necessary.

By “we” you mean you and your friends? Nobody else agree with this.

What shit logic. First off, getting a Gjallrhorn is entirely RNG based. I've played the game consistently since launch and I've never gotten one. Second, how the hell is one weapon that is so powerful that if you own it you would never consider using any other exotic in PvE play a good thing? That's terrible design

Side quests are not filler, dipshit.

Yup! That’s totally it! I’m just a big dummy! Not gonna feed the troll. Have a nice day. :)

Judging by all YOUR phrasing and CAPITAL letters I am guessing YOU’RE one of THOSE people who is unwilling to CONSIDER another person’s THOUGHTS about a TOPIC. Thus, I’ve decided NOT to continue this DISCUSSION lest I become a bit TOO agitated.

Haha I’m not sure if you’re trolling or not. No one was harmed by this. How do you go from wandering into an office building and enjoying a free lunch to rape and murder? That’s just a tad absurd. This is no different than posting leaked footage of a movie or game from someone who breaks their legally-binding NDA. Or

If you think that game sites should publish stories based on what developers want them to publish, I recommend you visit one of the many sites that does just that. On the other hand, if you want an independent games press that covers stories we think are interesting and/or important — even if developers and publishers
