Actually, there is no reason you shouldn’t be able to upload them from the 3DS. The level browser isn’t there because of memory restraints. I’m betting there is no upload simply because there was no way to implement a level browser for people to download from.

It has nothing to do with being scared of the internet.

The levels are set up like a standalone release Mario game, and each level has secrets and “achievements” to earn.

It does for me, plus you DO have access to unlimited online levels, you just can’t pick them yourself (yet).

Except 999.999% of those infinite levels suck, while Nintendo’s don’t. The game does not suck. It’s a good new Mario game.

For me they do, it’s like a new Mario game. I’m really enjoying it so far.

So very true.

Disney is really bad about this too. You have to wonder how many times they think they can get away with it...

I’m thinking the owners of that “Ghostbusters” logo might have a bit of a case there too...

At least your dad pushes the mouse. Mine hovers the mouse in the air and tries to operate the buttons (and mouse) like a TV remote. All the while cursing the computer because it’s not working.

And it depend on what you mean by “buggier”. Bethesda has “platform specific” bugs to keep all users equally unhappy.

The inventory was a good use for it. It was essential for Mario Maker.

Yes!

I think that’s true. I’ve also heard that Switch makes full use of the DeNA network infrastructure that allows your purchases to (finally) carry over to new hardware purchases. It almost has to be that the Wii U controller will be sold separately, and can be used with Switch.

True. It could be that Nintendo intends to release a touch screen peripheral. Or, like the Wiimotes, the Wii U controller will be sold separately and be compatible with Switch.

Okay... So the best defense is a good offense?

Actually, the original specs and promos sent out said there is a touch screen, but apparently now there is some doubt. Wii U backwards compatibility would depend on it too. As some one else pointed out, how would it function in the dock?

Correct, Nintendo is not trying to make a mobile phone out of this thing. Nintendo IS trying to retake territory from the mobile market though. A third party will likely provide the cellular capable hybrid device. Much like the Panasonic Q. As you said though, only in Japan. For a while anyway.

I wouldn’t be surprised if they were directly approached by Nvidia about re-marketing it. ;)

Yeah, I know. But I like to be among the first to try things. It really doesn’t bother me that they are a little rough. I’m still amazed by VR, I thought the cool factor would wear off, but I’d rather play an average game in VR than a good one the classic way. At least for now. :)
