I usually follow this except i went with a civic this time. the depreciation for year one is 4k. the issue is the dealers re-selling them only knock of $2k. $2k for a 30k mile vehicle isn’t worth it.

I don’t see how these have to keep being re-done though. If you release your car as like the 06 corolla and continue to make them in 2026 but the car is sold as a 2006 engineered then why even re-create safety? That should only be a requirement if you’re selling it as a current year model. It’s not like we have to

the corolla hatch was tiny compared to the civic plus no apple carplay made it a for sure no option. Although now that i’ve had it for a while i kind of wish i’d gone acrua and tried to add carplay aftermarket.

I too paid off my loans and paid off a 2018 civic in 9 months (had $12k to put down on it). I kind of want something new and kind of just want to put like $3000 into it and then drive it through the next recession.

This! And those who are middle class have failed to realize they have to make compromises. In the 1950s people’s houses were 1400 square feet, not 3400. If you want a SUV and a truck and a 3400 square foot house then you’re trying to be rich, not middle class.

When i get blinded by some dick with brights or what appears to be brights i’v learned to aim my side mirrors back in their face. 2 can play that game!

Maybe, maybe not. The blueprint is there for success which really doesn’t need an external company to do so. I think Nissan sucks at actually making cars as of late which is the real problem But the concept of use parts for cars in several cars reduces prices and makes it easy.

IMO the issue with US companies is they’re competing against each other but seem to ignore every other brands. Yes ford it’s great that your x vehicle is better than Chevy’s x vehicle but why do i give a crap when i can see what honda and toyota are doing over there.

Yep! I was honestly debating a crossover until i drove one, i hate them again lol, but i get the allure. The only way cars have a chance are to keep a small/smallish midsize as a hatchback due to utility. I don’t know that the car will every truly die though. Crossover mania just sounds like a 2.0 version of SUV mania

This! I loved my Mitsubishi but they gave up on cars so eff them. Yes i get it they need to simplify their offerings, but IDK if they weren’t so bloody stupid they wouldn’t be in this mess.

Gawker back to hate speech I see. Can’t wait for you to get fucking sued into oblivion again.

I would like to add what it misses as well. I actually considered one because wagon, but you do not get heated seats unless you pay for the top trim level, and the thing has the interior of a chevy cruze. Meanwhile a honda hatch is basically a mid-size (the sedan is actually classified as a mid-size) and heated seats

actually you don’t. You can protest outside of your job but technically protesting when you’re supposed to work means you’re not doing your job and therefore can be fired. If the terms of your employment state that you’re required to attend and respect the anthem then you have it. If it is not in there then you

I want a star. I think i got blocked.

Sorry to bug you but i’m trying to see if I’m blocked. A Star = you can see this comment. if you can’t i’ll be creating a new account.

I’d still drive it especially considering the dullness that most new vehicles seem to have within a reasonable price point. obviously that changes if your budget is $40k.

This is double edged. There’s the practicality part and there’s the reality part. My car has nothing technically wrong with it being only 5 years old. That said it’s dull to drive, not very fuel efficient, and sounds like the trunk is open when I drive on the highway (thanks mitsubishi for your crap quality). With

THIS!!!!! Said it before I’ll say it again, why is a $13,000 corolla now $20k? Inflation is NOT $7,000 within a decade. They’ve just added a whole bunch of expensive junk. That $13k should only be about $17k. based on a 3% inflation. That means car inflation is up 6% which is DOUBLE actual inflation.

The irony is that Sam’s exploded knee might save teddy’s career which was derailed due to an exploded knee. Also when is Lamar Jackson eligible for the draft?
