Currently reading Podkayne of Mars, which I'm finding much more engaging than I thought I would.
Same thing in Sweden. Around Christmas oranges are in season and for some reason Swedes consume a boatload. I suppose that in the middle of a cold and dark winter they do smell of the Mediterranean in an enticing way.
