Yeah, our generation that is trying to fix the mistakes of the last couple of generations. Fuck us, right?

Well, in fairness, most people *don’t* actually drive their cars in any meaningful way. They sit in traffic for a hour or two moving 5MPH in the morning commute, do it again in the evening, and occasionally break it up with a leisurely highway drive to the grocery store.
You know, there was a time in America when the rich made it a point of pride to live more or less like everyone else. There was a connection that was fundamental to societal cohesion and empathy. More and more, the very wealthy are insulating themselves from society, physically as well as culturally. This is…
To count coup against the enemy tribe, of course.
My ex wife’s dumb sociopathic cousin LOVED rolling coal in his Ram. He thought it was so f*cking funny to pull up next to some poor sap at a stoplight and permanently make their cloth interior smell of soot. Not to mention ruining their day, make them feel sick, and give them a memory to always be angry about. Guys…
Every so often Jalopnik gives us diamonds. In the sea of Demon, Telsa, Politics and other bubble gum topics, we get a truly humanizing and intriguing story. This is a diamond, and I hope we see more of them.

I agree with white collar jobs not being physical enough. I also start to go stir crazy sitting in a cube all day. There are certainly downsides to all professions, that’s for sure.

Neutral: I think Mike Rowe is a bit of a hack, but he is dead fucking on when he says that labor overall has gotten destroyed by general societal attitudes. People want to make a shitload of money really quick, or they want to be a nomadic “influencer” or something; basically no one looks to make a decent living…

I recall that the first page of my college economics textbook read, “The job of the chief executive is to maximize profits.”
Mr. Crissey’s logic – and yours, by extension – is fundamentally backwards. Labor is an expense, and a necessary one. Profits are literally the money that’s left over after expenses. To run a business properly, you must pay your expenses before you start taking money out of it.
4th gear: Goodness me, we can’t be paying the people who actually do the work, can we?
What’s getting old is his base making excuses for voting for someone that ‘keeps his word’.
“and maybe all this silly and hurtful tactics will end.”
President Trump, you can’t just keep flip-flopping back and forth on a major issue like this.
